Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Lynchburg, VA is seeking Mechanical or Electrical Assemblers to join a leading manufacturing organization. You will support the assembly of conveyors, machines, and subassemblies and follow blueprints and technical instructions.

The role offers a stable Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (overtime available 6:00 am – 4:30 pm). Pay ranges from $19 to $20 per hour and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to pass background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assemble conveyors, machines, and subassemblies following blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
• Use hand and power tools to fabricate and install conveyor parts, ensuring quality and functionality.
• Inspect parts for proper machining finish and dimensions.
• Diagnose equipment issues and test equipment for performance and reliability.
• Maintain safety standards and work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
