Job summary

Ameri-Force, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Installation Tech to install and repair equipment such as snowplows, service bodies, lift gates, and related truck gear.

The role requires hands-on experience with basic automotive electrical and hydraulic systems, with welding experience preferred. You will work with tools to assemble and install equipment, read schematics, and ensure work meets manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Mechanical and fabricating skills required.
• Good understanding of hydraulics and 12-volt electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install equipment such as snowplows, service bodies, lift gates, and related truck gear.
• Use hand and power tools (drill, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders).
• Complete jobs to manufacturers' specifications.
• Prioritize customer relations and respond to customer requirements.
• Coordinate with parts manager to ensure correct parts.

Mechanical Installation Tech (Install Tech)

Job Summary:

As a Mechanical Installation Tech, you will be installing and repairing equipment and related accessories. A successful candidate will have prior training and/or experience performing equipment installation either in the truck equipment or related industries such as agricultural or industrial. You must have a good understanding of basic automotive electrical and hydraulics, welding experience is preferred.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Efficiently assemble and install diverse types of equipment such as, but not limited to; snowplows, service bodies, lift gates, dumping other related truck equipment.


• Utilize hand and power tools such as drill, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders, etc.


• Efficiently complete jobs to manufacturers specifications.


• Value customer relations and provide efficient attention to customer requirements.


• Interact with the parts manager to ensure all parts required to perform assigned jobs are correct.


• Be team oriented and possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Must be a U.S citizen or a permanent resident to be eligible for this position.


• 1-year previous experience preferred.


• Possess mechanical and fabricating skills.


• Provide proper diagnosis and repair of vehicles and related equipment.


• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and 12-volt electrical systems.


• Ability to operate a plasma cutter and oxygen/acetylene torch.


• Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Safety & Environmental Factors:

All employees are expected to adhere to the company’s safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
