Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Costa Mesa, CA seeks a Mechanical Drill Operator (2nd shift) to perform NC drilling and routing tasks in our PCB manufacturing environment. You will ensure accuracy and throughput while handling Excellon and Hitachi drill systems, X‑ray inspection, and related tooling.

The role requires 1–2 years of drilling and routing experience, familiarity with process travelers and tolerances, lamination practice, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in drilling and routing operations.
• Understand process travelers, customer specifications and tolerances.
• Experience in lamination operation.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Excellon & Hitachi drill machines, PCB X‑ray equipment, laser drill and XRT tooling in the drill area.
• Run NC routing equipment in manual and automatic modes.
• Make scale and step changes as required.
• Apply fabrication, planarization and lamination and drilling experience.
• Use measuring devices to verify line width, spacing, cut-outs and feature sizes.

Mechanical Drill Operator (2 nd shift)

Job Purpose

Performs all NC Drill functions required in a PCB Manufacturing environment.

Nature Of Duties

• Must be able to operate Excellon & Hitachi Drill machines, PCB X-Ray equipment, Laser drill and (XRT) X-Ray tooling equipment in Drill area.
• In addition the candidate must be able to run NC routing equipment both in manual and automatic mode.
• Must also be able to make necessary scale and step changes when required.
• This position will require experience in Fabrication, Planarization and Lamination and Drilling.
• Must be experienced in using measuring devices (micrometers and dial calipers) and or scopes to measure the line width, spacing, cut-outs, routed features and overall product sizes of the product being processed.

Education And Experience

• A minimum of 1-2 years experience in the Drilling and routing operations is required.
• The candidate must understand process travelers, customer specifications and tolerances specified on travelers or blueprints.
• In addition the candidate must have working experience in the lamination operation
• Must have good written and oral communications skills

Salary Range (annual)

$39,520.00 - $45,760.00

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
