Job summary

CPV Manufacturing seeks a Mechanical Drafter to manage documentation throughout its lifecycle, converting legacy drawings and creating new designs using SolidWorks. You will release documentation through EDM and Infor MRP while ensuring proper version control and quality compliance.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will expedite approvals, manage vendor/customer documentation, and support audits and inventory control. Proficiency in SolidWorks, ACAD, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' experience as a draftsperson in a related field.
• ASME Y14 series or other drafting standards knowledge.
• Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• Able to read technical documentation like drawings, BOMs, parts lists, catalogs and specs.
• Experience with EDM and MRP processes, configuration management, document control, auditing and cross-functional interface.
• SolidWorks (minimum 5 years) and ACAD proficiency.
• Proficient with MS Office, CAD file management and PDF editing.

Responsibilities

• Convert legacy drawings and designs to company standards using SolidWorks.
• Generate new designs and drawings for NPD.
• Release engineering documentation into EDM/MRP systems with proper version control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite document approvals and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage engineering documentation through lifecycle ensuring accuracy and compliance with ISO/QMS.
• Administer vendor and customer documentation and integrate into project databases.
• Develop and track engineering documentation and project deliverables in logs and trackers.
• Support internal and external audits and inventory control activities.
• Generate and distribute performance metrics reports for management.
