Job summary

States Manufacturing LLC is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to support design and documentation of medium voltage switchgear, E-House systems, and related power distribution equipment. This role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to develop detailed fabrication drawings and BOMs for engineered-to-order products, including modular enclosures and skid systems.

The ideal candidate has 2-4+ years of drafting experience and is proficient with SolidWorks.

Qualifications

2-4 years drafting or mechanical design experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and 2D/3D drafting.
Ability to interpret engineering specifications and fabrication requirements.
Experience with BOM creation and revision management.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWorks
Produce general arrangement drawings, switchgear layouts, structural and equipment details
Support development and modification of MV switchgear designs and modular enclosures
Incorporate engineering updates and production feedback into drawings
Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure designs are manufacturable
Assist with drawing revisions and PLM document updates
Standardize drafting practices and reusable components
Review drawings for accuracy and adherence to drafting standards
