Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Rapid City, SD seeks a Mechanical Drafter to prepare detailed diagrams of machinery and devices, including dimensions and assembly methods. You will grow your technical capabilities through hands-on work, collaboration, and exposure to new technologies.

The role requires coordinating with customers, using Creo for 3D models and drawings, and supporting engineers with design issues. Office-based five days a week at the Caterpillar Engineering Design Center.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to define project scopes and timelines.
• Use Creo to create or modify 3D models and drawings for manufacturing.
• Assist engineers in troubleshooting designs and drawings.
• Maintain engineering release and change documentation.
• Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers.
