Job Title: Mechanical Drafter – CAD & Design Support

Location: Naperville, IL (On-Site)

A growing engineering and manufacturing company in Naperville is hiring a Mechanical Drafter to support design projects, create detailed drawings, and collaborate with engineers on new product development. This role is a key link between engineering concepts and production-ready documentation.

What You’ll Do

• Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D drawings for mechanical equipment and assemblies
• Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to support engineering design and drafting needs
• Develop layouts, schematics, and assembly drawings to support manufacturing and fabrication
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and shop floor teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility
• Update and maintain drawing standards, BOMs, and documentation for projects
• Assist in design changes and modifications based on feedback from engineering and production teams
• Support continuous improvement efforts in design accuracy and drawing efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of drafting or mechanical design experience
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD (required) and SolidWorks (preferred)
• Ability to create detailed drawings, layouts, and models with accuracy and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work across departments
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred, or equivalent experience
• Experience in material handling, conveyors, or agricultural/industrial equipment is a plus
