Actalent is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to create design drawings for manufacturing using layouts and models. The role supports CAD Designers by developing working drawings for shelters and mechanical/electrical modifications, including rack installations and lighting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of post-schooling drafting experience and proficiency with Inventor or SolidWorks 2D, with a focus on accurate, manufacturable drawings. This onsite role is based in Dallastown, PA.

• Experience with large assemblies containing hundreds or thousands of parts.

Job Title: Mechanical Drafter

Create design drawings using design layouts, models, and other information for manufacturing purposes. Support CAD Designers by developing working drawings for basic shelters and mechanical and electrical modifications, including rack installations, ECU installations, entry panel installations, lighting, power distribution, and other ancillary items. Ensure that CAD schedules and budgets are met efficiently.

• Ensure CAD schedules and budgets are adhered to.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Mechanical Drafting.
• Familiarity with GD&T.
• Experience with large assemblies consisting of hundreds or thousands of parts.
• Proficiency in Inventor or SolidWorks 2D.
• At least 2 years of post-schooling experience in Drafting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of technical training or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in 2D CAD.
• Fact-finding and analytical skills.
• NX or Inventor experience preferred.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing facility with a casual work environment where jeans are acceptable attire. The role involves working in a cubicle, with opportunities to go on the manufacturing floor to witness designs being brought to life. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallastown, PA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
