The ideal candidate will have hands-on drafting experience, GD&T proficiency, and BOM creation skills. You will work on sheet metal components and wire harness documentation, supporting design changes and engineering documentation

Job Summary

Seeking for an experienced Mechanical Drafter to join our engineering team in Bloomfield, CT. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in mechanical design and drafting, with expertise in Creo CAD software and Windchill PLM. This role involves developing and modifying 2D engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, assemblies, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for elevator systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Create preliminary and final engineering drawings for elevator systems.
• Develop, modify, and maintain complex 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings using Creo.
• Work with sheet metal components and wire harness-related designs.
• Create, configure, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for elevator units.
• Modify drawings, CAD models, and BOMs based on approved non-standard customer requirements.
• Maintain engineering documentation and ensure accuracy throughout the design process.
• Utilize Windchill PLM for product data management, configuration control, and engineering change management.
• Provide technical expertise and support for Creo and Windchill applications.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, GD&T requirements, and configuration control processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Creo CAD software for 2D drawings, 3D modeling, and assemblies.
• Practical experience working with the Windchill PLM system.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience in sheet metal design and mechanical components.
• Knowledge of wire harness design and related engineering documentation.
• Experience creating and modifying Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Understanding of engineering change management and configuration control.
• Ability to develop and maintain complex CAD models, assemblies, and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in elevator or lift manufacturing industries.
• Background in industrial equipment or mechanical product design.
• Experience preparing preliminary and final elevator drawings.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent technical training.

Pay Scale

$80K-$85K/Annum (Negotiable based on experience)
