Job summary

ISG seeks a Mechanical Designer to advance your career in Revit, drafting HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for building projects. You’ll collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and ISG Employee Owners to produce construction documents and blueprints.

The role emphasizes layout in Revit, field verification, and coordination with disciplines, with a culture that supports growth and shared ownership. 1–2+ years in AEC preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field.
• 1–2+ years of mechanical design experience in the AEC industry, preferably HVAC/plumbing.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of HVAC and plumbing design principles.
• Knowledge of building codes such as IMC, IPC, and FFC.
• Ability to travel to various job sites and office locations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with engineers and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Self-directed, organized, multi-tasking with minimal supervision.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute creatively to project solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft HVAC, plumbing and fire protection mechanical systems using Revit.
• Produce and coordinate construction drawings with other disciplines.
• Field measure and document existing buildings.
• Interface with other ISG team members in a positive & professional manner.
• Work collaboratively with multi-discipline engineering teams and project managers.
