Job summary

The Mechanical Designer is responsible for heavy industrial piping design and plant layout, translating field sketches into finished 3D CAD/Solidworks construction documents while coordinating with project managers and engineers to meet budgets and schedules.

Key duties include evaluating plant scopes, managing schedules, and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Associate's Degree.
• Experience: 5 to 7 years in heavy industrial piping design and plant layout.
• Software: Strong proficiency in 3D AutoCAD, Cloud Scanning Software, and Solidworks.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of multi-discipline project execution, construction methods, and local/industry compliance codes.
• Creating detailed design, process, and construction drawings.
