Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Mechanical Designer near Auburn, Alabama. The role focuses on CAD design with PTC Creo and Windchill, turning concepts into production-ready 3D models and drawings. Relocation assistance is available; sits in Auburn, AL or Duluth, GA. Direct-hire with standard hours 8am–4pm.

Requires an Associate degree and 4+ years of design experience, including 2D/3D modeling and PLM familiarity. Competitive salary with full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• An Associate degree (ideally in drafting & design).
• 4+ years of relevant design experience.
• Experience creating 2D or 3D mechanical models.
• 3D CAD experience (PTC CREO, Solidworks or related software).
• Experience with PLM software (Windchill preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify complex 3D solid models and 2D mechanical drawings for products and components.
• Transform sketches, design concepts, and verbal instructions into detailed engineering specifications.
• Create and manage comprehensive documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical data packages.
• Responsible for creation and documentation of 3D CAD models and related drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) and other engineering documentation
• Coordinate drawing documentation in preparation for formal production releases
