Job summary

Chemco Systems, L.P. is seeking a Mechanical Designer to work on the layout and design of mechanical systems for bulk chemical storage handling and feed systems for air and water pollution treatment.

The role emphasizes producing 2D drawings with AutoCAD, some 3D work using Inventor, and collaboration with manufacturing and office teams to ensure accurate BOMs and effective documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanical drafting/design preferred or equivalent technical experience.
• Requires self-motivation and ability to stay on task and schedule.
• Excellent time management, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce detailed drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D models and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create some 3D drawings with Inventor and work with AutoCAD Vault.
• Prepare equipment general arrangements, piping layouts, diagrams and shop drawings as needed.
• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and BOMs using Inventor.
• Communicate effectively with manufacturing and office personnel.
• Demonstrate self-motivation to complete assignments on time.
