Job summary

Pulva Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the design and manufacture of our industrial size-reduction equipment and systems. This hands-on manufacturing environment requires turning concepts into accurate, manufacturable designs.

The role collaborates with engineering, sales, and fabrication teams to create 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation, while improving existing Pulva equipment and ensuring manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing.
• Ability to read and create detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Understanding of dimensions, tolerances, materials, and common manufacturing processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Comfortable working directly with machinists, fabricators, assemblers, sales, and engineering.
• Engineering degree helpful but not required.
• Experience designing industrial equipment, machinery, or rotating equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
• Develop equipment layouts, assemblies, components, and supporting documentation
• Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs)
• Modify existing equipment designs to meet customer and application requirements
• Support new equipment and product development
• Review designs for manufacturability, fit, function, and accuracy
• Work directly with manufacturing to answer questions and resolve issues during fabrication and assembly
• Support Sales with drawings and technical information needed for customer proposals and orders
• Maintain and update existing drawings, models, and engineering documentation
• Assist with continuous improvement of existing Pulva equipment

This is a hands-on manufacturing environment where the designer works closely with engineering, sales, purchasing, and the people building the equipment. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving mechanical problems and turning concepts into accurate, manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities
