Job summary

Atlas Copco Holding GmbH is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create precise 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings for compressor packages. You will build and maintain BOMs in SAP, contribute component specifications, and perform basic piping and tolerancing calculations to meet project specs.

This role reports to the Senior Systems Mechanical Engineering Team Leader and supports cross‑functional teams. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with on‑site work at the Voorheesville, NY

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of experience in mechanical design or related engineering design roles.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerancing, materials, and system design.
• Experience creating and maintaining bills of material (BOMs) and supporting manufacturing documentation.
• Associate degree in Mechanical Design, completion of a technical apprenticeship program, or equivalent CAD design experience.

To succeed, you will need

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerancing, materials, and system design.
