The Mechanical Designer develops, documents, and supports product designs for off-road seating systems and related components using advanced 3D CAD tools. This role focuses on creating accurate models and drawings, supporting engineering analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet performance, manufacturability, cost, and customer requirements. The position requires strong technical proficiency in parametric solid modeling, GD&T, and engineering documentation, as well as the ability to manage multiple design tasks with attention to detail and clear communication.
This is a fully on‑site role in a professional engineering and manufacturing‑focused environment. Work is primarily performed in an office or design studio setting using 3D CAD software such as CREO or similar parametric modeling tools, along with standard office and engineering equipment. The role involves regular computer‑based design work, documentation, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, sales, and project teams. Occasional time may be spent in prototype or production areas to support builds, sample development, and fit/function evaluations of off‑road seating systems and components. The position includes typical physical demands for office and light engineering work, such as frequent sitting and computer use, occasional standing and walking, and the ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds when handling samples or components.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
