Job summary

Entegee in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking a SolidWorks Mechanical Designer with 8+ years of aviation experience. You will create 3-D models, document design requirements and coordinate with Engineering to ensure manufacturability per MIL-SPEC, FAA and AS9100.

Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PowerPoint and Excel is required. US Citizenship is mandatory; candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on aircraft exterior surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the design and creation of virtual solid models of new products, modifications and upgrades to existing designs, from detailed component design to full assembly
• Interface with Engineering to document and detail design requirements, specifications and schedules, ensuring design for manufacturability, reliability and maintainability applying MIL-SPEC, FAA and best commercial practices
• Create 3-D CAD models for components, systems and assemblies, performing tolerance stack-up analysis and mass properties to ensure proper fit and function
• Participate in multi-disciplinary, integrated project teams, representing the Design Group in decisions
• Communicate progress to management while ensuring compliance with Quality Requirements, AS9100 and company policies

Specs are as follows:

Responsibilities:

• Participating in the design and creation of virtual solid models of new products, modifications and upgrades to existing designs, from detailed component design to full assembly.
• Interface as necessary with Engineering to document and detail design requirements, specifications and schedules, and design for manufacturability, reliability and maintainability applying MIL-SPEC, FAA and best commercial practices.
• Create 3-D CAD models for individual components, systems and assemblies, while generating tolerance stack up analysis, mass properties, etc., on component assemblies to ensure proper fit and function.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary, integrated project teams, representing the Design Group for team activities and decisions.
• Effectively communicate progress on projects to management, while ensuring that all work is done in compliance with Quality Requirements, AS9100, company policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
