Job Overview
Kelly Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Designer for our client in De Pere, WI. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the layout and design of customer projects for manufacturing.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process customer projects for design/layout adhering to best manufacturing principles.
2. Layout customer drawings for processing on lasers, punch, waterjet, and press brakes.
3. Collaborate with project managers to meet customer requirements.
4. Ensure timely document flow to other organizational areas for both internal and external customers.
5. Participate in process improvement activities for manufacturing.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Knowledge of basic manufacturing principles in sheet metal.
2. Proficient in blueprint reading.
3. Strong background in SolidWorks or other 3-D software.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook.
5. Effective at developing and maintaining relationships.
6. Adhere to the highest level of ethical principles and standards.
7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
8. Ability to lead multiple functions through effective planning and organizing.
9. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to influence others.
10. High level of creativity.

SKILLS

1. Experience in fabrication or machining is ideal.
2. Ability to read and interpret drawings.
3. Good references with excellent work attendance and attitude.
