Job summary

PTS Advance in Ohio is seeking a Mechanical/Piping CAD Drafter to assist with the development, design, and drafting of 3D CAD based mechanical and piping drawings for construction and fabrication projects.

You will prepare detailed drawings, AS-Builts, schematics, P&IDs, isometrics, line lists, and coordinate with other disciplines under the Lead Designer, applying MicroStation and AutoCAD drafting to update plant drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating mechanical and piping drawings for construction/fabrication projects.
• Ability to produce complex technical drawings and piping isometrics.
• Coordinate CAD projects with other discipline personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, design, and drafting of 3D CAD based mechanical and piping drawings.
• Assist with preparation of engineering drawings including detailed drawings, as-builts, schematics, and flow diagrams, P&ID's, and piping isometric drawings.
• Provide drawing production work including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations.
• Work under the direction of a Lead Mechanical/Piping Designer and provide advanced Microstation drafting and design services.
• Prepare Line Lists, Manual Valve Lists, and Drawings Lists.
• Maintain and update engineering drawing files and incorporate changes into existing plant drawings using AutoCAD.
• Produce complex technical drawings and piping isometrics.
• Coordinate CAD projects with other discipline personnel.
• Maintain P&IDs, ISOs, and other construction blueprints.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of engineering drawings for all construction and fabrication work including detailed drawings, as-builts, schematics, and flow diagrams, P&ID's, and piping isometric drawings
• Provide drawing production work including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations
• Work under the direction of a Lead Mechanical/Piping Designer and providing advanced Microstation drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining mechanical and piping engineering drawings for use in fabrication and construction
• Prepare Line Lists, Manual Valve Lists, and Drawings Lists
• Maintain and update engineering drawing files and incorporating piping changes, modifications, and new construction into existing plant drawings using AutoCAD
• Produce complex technical drawings and piping isometrics
• Coordinate CAD projects with other discipline personnel
• Maintain P&IDs, ISOs, and other construction blue print
