Job summary

High Country Search Group seeks a high-level Mechanical Designer/Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design packages and equipment documentation for custom conveyor and produce-processing systems based in the Monte Vista, CO area (on-site preferred; hybrid considered for exceptional candidates).

This role requires translating customer requirements into accurate 3D CAD models, building complete shop packages, and serving as the technical bridge between design, procurement, and fabrication with

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years designing custom industrial equipment or conveyors.
• Strong 3D CAD modeling and fabrication drawing ability.
• Experience in low-volume, high-mix or ETO environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design packages and equipment documentation for conveyor systems.
• Develop accurate 3D models, assemblies, BOMs and drawings.
• Collaborate with production to resolve fit-up questions.
• Ensure design-for-manufacturability and serviceability.
• Maintain drawing revision controls and documentation.
