Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Mechanical Engineer Intern for a summer program in Greenville, TX, June 2027–December 2027. You will support new product development and factory teams onsite, contributing to real designs with CAD models and documentation.

You'll collaborate with senior engineers on ECOs, apply structural mechanics to assess stresses, and gain hands-on experience in mechanical design and analysis of electronic systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field.
• Experience with CAD or FEA tools is preferred.
• Ability to apply structural mechanics to predict internal stresses and instabilities.
• Familiarity with finite element methods and fatigue.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development and factory support of existing products.
• Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation
• Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required
