Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer with P&ID

Position Type: Full-time with HCLTech

Location: Horsham, PA

Role/Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Engineer with 5 to 10 Years of experience in Design and Development.
  • Should be familiar with plumbing system design using standard and custom components used in high purity gas and wet chemical processing equipment (valves, fittings, etc.)
  • Mechanical engineering expertise, while focusing on design quality, reliability, effective cost, and ease of manufacturing
  • Experience in Package plumbing components per P&ID Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) using standards and procedures.
  • Define mechanical design specifications based on customer requirements and company capabilities
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years SolidWorks experience and well versed with AutoCAD.
  • Should be skilled in standard drafting practices in SolidWorks, including part detailing and tolerancing (ANSI Y14).
  • Experience in Engineering change management and release process
  • Provide “hands on” assistance and support to the manufacturing team
  • Ability to read and understand Plumbing and Instrumentation Diagram’s (P&ID)
  • Experience in designing equipment used in a cleanroom environment a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, written and verbally.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Excel.
  • Should have experience in using Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP or similar MRP systems.
  • Education requirements: AAS Mechanical Engineering curriculum with applicable industry experience, BSME preferred.
  • Design development and Drawing release.
  • Package plumbing components per P&ID Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) using standards and procedures.
  • Generate and modify Bill of Materials.
  • Interface with operations and electrical, process and software engineering.
  • Communicate and give direction to manufacturing personnel during build process.
  • Continually develop design standards to increase efficiency of the design and build processes.
  • Produce clear and accurate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Must adhere to various industry standards.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $37.01 per hour

Pay Range Maximum: $55 per hour

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
