Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Mechanical Design Engineer Summer Intern (Electrification). The Engineer (Electrification) will support the mechanical design of Hybrid/Electric Inverter and Converter Systems for various global automotive customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design of Hybrid/Electric Inverter and Converter Systems, the “brain” of an EV.
• Collaborate on the design of mechanical components while learning the BorgWarner Bill of Design and customer specifications.
• Contribute mechanical analysis and verification.
• Thermal Management.
• Vibration Capability.
• Thermal Shock Tolerance Stack Assist in design documentation and structure problem solving undefined undefined.

What We Are Looking For

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or be a graduate from an accredited college GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire date.
• Interest in electronics, automotive, or electric vehicles.
• Experience in clubs, classes, or hobbies that emphasize Understanding why things break or fail, Creative problem solving, Physical, hands-on engineering, Electronics, automotive, electric vehicles, manufacturing, testing, design, or anything similar.

Salary
