Job summary

bp, Archaea Energy, a bp company, is hiring a Design Engineer to create 3D designs and detailed drawings for landfill gas to energy facilities and RNG skid equipment using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The role supports operations and requires precise documentation and compliance with industry standards.

Essential qualifications include a Mechanical Engineering degree (or related) with 3+ years of design experience, proficiency in Autodesk/SolidWorks, and strong GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an Associates Degree in Mechanical Design.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Experience with Autodesk (or AutoCAD) and SolidWorks.
• Experience with MS Office Suite and GD&T (ANSI Y14.5).
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently as well as in a team.
• Valid driver’s license; background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Design LFGTE and RNG skid equipment using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create and revise SolidWorks CAD models, drawings, P&IDs, BOMs and docs.
• Perform design calculations for pipe sizes and support operations.
• Maintain knowledge of ASME Piping Design, Materials, Fabrication and Specs.
• Ensure safety and long-term serviceability in designs.
• Prepare BOM, instrumentation lists and design specs.
• Collaborate with the design team to meet specs and deadlines.
• Provide engineering support to operations (LFGTE and RNG).
• Manage drawings/documentation control in PDM.
