Job summary

GE Transportation (A Wabtec Company) in Erie, PA seeks a Mechanical Engineer to drive design and execution of complex projects. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensure scope, schedule and quality, and interface with suppliers and customers to deliver robust mechanical solutions.

Requirements include a BS in engineering, strong GD&T, Six Sigma, and familiarity with ANSYS/COSMOS and SolidWorks. Experience with hydraulics or thermal systems is a plus in a heavy-manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience leading multiple projects and teams.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ANSYS/COSMOS and 3D modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of assigned projects and ensure scope, quality and delivery.
• Direct engineering team and interface with internal/external stakeholders.
• Document technical data per policies and participate in reviews.
• Lead cross-functional milestones: design reviews, prototyping, testing and launch.
