Job summary

At Mainstream Engineering Corporation in Florida, we seek a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive concepts from prototype to production with hands-on CAD work and cross-functional collaboration.

You will design 3D models, create drawings, and manage documentation while ensuring manufacturability and ECO-driven changes. A ME degree with 2+ years’ experience and GD&T expertise are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.3 for all degrees.
• 2+ years in mechanical product design and drafting.
• Strong GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5).
• Proficient with Inventor 2024+ and Vault 2024+.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers on new technology and product initiatives.
• Design and revise detailed 3D CAD models for prototype and production.
• Create and maintain drawings for machined parts, sheet metal, tubing, plastics, assemblies.
• Support ECOs, revisions, and configuration management.
• Develop and maintain BOMs and product specs.
• Prepare and update QA and manufacturing docs.
• Maintain CAD libraries and engineering docs using Inventor and Vault.
• Help establish modeling and drafting standards.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and production-ready with manufacturing teams.
