PROF Group is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to support reverse engineering, product reliability, and the design of precision‑machined parts and mechanical assemblies. You will analyze physical components, create 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings, develop inspection plans, and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and long‑term performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
• Experience creating 3D CAD models and detailed drawings.
• Understanding of tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with reverse engineering and machine design is preferred.
• Ability to translate findings into accurate manufacturing documentation and support multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sample parts to understand design, function, and manufacturing requirements.
• Reverse-engineer existing components from measurements, drawings, and data.
• Interpret customer specifications, engineering drawings, and inspection data.
• Design precision‑machined parts and assemblies per customer requirements.
• Create accurate 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Develop inspection plans communicating dimensional and quality requirements.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability, reliability, and long-term performance.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams; resolve issues.
• Organize project requirements, set priorities, and manage work through completion.
• Maintain accuracy while supporting multiple projects and deadlines.
