Job summary

Marmon Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Marmon Power Systems division in Fairview, TN. The role focuses on designing and sustaining electromechanical product lines for marine, RV, motors, lighting, and signage.

You will work with an experienced team, use SolidWorks for 3D modeling, and access a full engineering lab and ERP system for BOM control and prototyping. You will collaborate across disciplines to translate requirements into manufacturable concepts, build

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• 3D modeling proficiency in SolidWorks or comparable CAD software.
• Drafting proficiency.
• Strong technical skills and understanding of engineering principles.
• Punctuality and work ethic.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively within an engineering team of mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers to design new products and upkeep existing product lines.
• Translate product requirements into a marketable design concept with Sales & Marketing input.
• Engineer and support new product designs from concept to manufacturing implementation.
• Utilize SolidWorks daily for all engineering efforts.
• Oversee and upkeep product BOM’s within the ERP system.
• Build prototypes and test designs to validate concepts.
• Analyze test results and ensure compliance with deliverables and standards.
• Oversee production ramp-up and design manufacturability.
• Participate in the New Product Development Phase Gate and ECN processes.
• Other duties as required.
