As a premier NPI, NGP1 is fast paced and setting new standards for Edison Works. The Program Mechanical Design team is a large organization with multiple sub-teams. This role is aligned to a sub-team spanning multiple commodities and design phases, including cost-out design, hardware delivery, test, certification/qualification, and technical publications. The Design Engineer will directly support work across these areas, with opportunities to take on direct ownership as experience grows. This role operates in a highly cross-functional environment, enabling rapid learning and product maturation, and will help lead the charge on FLIGHT DECK adoption within Edison Works, applying lean principles to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
