Job summary

Actalent, Inc. in Neenah, WI is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in SolidWorks and Creo Parametric to design and verify mechanical components and systems.

The role includes mentoring on a global discipline team, developing concepts, and delivering prototypes through formal verification tests on a contract-to-hire basis. Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with SolidWorks and Creo Parametric.
• Experience with sheet metal and plastic injection molding.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering concepts meeting stakeholder requirements.
• Mentor global discipline team where applicable.
• Develop mechanical components and system concepts.
• Architect mechanical solutions using theory and simulations.
• Implement and verify designs with appropriate EDA tools.
• Deliver prototypes by selecting components and supervising assembly.
• Develop and execute mechanical design verification test plans.
• Support prototype development with documentation.
