Mechanical Design Engineer – Cutting-Edge Material Handling Solutions
New Berlin, WI | 75K–$110K (Based on Experience) | Travel: 10–25%

RemX is hiring on behalf of our premier client, a nationally recognized leader in custom material handling solutions serving critical industries like energy, aerospace, and manufacturing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design cranes and custom material handling equipment using SolidWorks.

  • Engineer complete mechanical drive systems, sizing motors, gearboxes, couplings, and more.

  • Apply AWS D1.1 weld specs, ANSI machining symbols, and global industry codes to every design.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally on turnkey projects, integrating with other engineering disciplines.

  • Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing.

  • Provide technical support for installation crews and customers—sometimes overseas.

  • Tackle redesigns and optimization of girders, trolleys, and other crane components to improve performance and reduce costs.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering (required).

  • 5+ years of relevant design experience.

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or Pro-E, and advanced knowledge of Excel and Word.

  • Familiarity with ASME, AISC, CMAA standards.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10–25%).

  • Must be eligible to pass background checks for nuclear facility access.
