Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
• 2+ years of mechanical design for ground vehicles.
• Strong NX CAD skills and structural analysis.
• GD&T and tolerance stack-ups knowledge.
• Materials selection including alloys and finishes.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced teams.
• Security clearance (S//SAR) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support design of complex structures for launch and recovery systems.
• Handle full design process: concept, CAD, tolerances, materials, drawing release.
• Perform structural and kinematic calculations and preliminary FEA.
• Prototype, test, and iterate mechanism designs for reliability.
• Collaborate with electrical, avionics, manufacturing and test teams.
• Support pre-production builds, prototype integration, and ground/flight testing.
• Participate in design reviews and architectural discussions.
• Identify opportunities to improve design processes and workflows.
