Job summary

Legrand is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join the Electrical Infrastructure Team in Concord, NC. You will design, develop, and improve products, guiding projects from concept through documentation and prototyping.

You will work with cross-functional teams, manage multiple design efforts, and ensure designs meet cost, quality, and manufacturability targets. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS Mechanical Engineering; experience preferred offset by education.
• 5–10 years in mechanical design and product development.
• Broad understanding of engineering principles, materials, manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop product specifications with Marketing & Manufacturing.
• Create sketches and 3D models; refine designs for manufacturability.
• Manage projects; coordinate with departments to meet deadlines.
• Produce documentation: ECN, BOM, drawings, quality specs.
• Support patent strategy and design for IP protection.
