Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field required.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and FEA.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar design role required.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be accepted.
• Experience reviewing designs for compliance with standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Designs, models, and tests prototypes for products.
• Performs research and creates design proposals for projects.
• Creates concepts, performance and production criteria.
• Selects materials needed for production and develops BOMs.
• Produces final drawings and specifications for parts.
• Ensures value engineering and sample models/demo parts.
• Supports planning of marketing initiatives for products.
• Negotiates production processes to meet timelines.
• Evaluates cost efficiency and reliability of designs.
• Collaborates with engineering and other departments to meet schedule.
• Uses CAD to layout pumps, systems, and layouts.
