Job summary

Husky Technologies TM in Milton, Vermont seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of new hot runner, heater, and controller products. You will translate product concepts into detailed designs and support verification through testing and analysis.

The role requires a university degree in mechanical engineering and about five years in mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering, with knowledge of injection molded plastics and hot runner design being highly valued.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years mechanical or electro-mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of injection molded plastics processing required; Hot Runner design background desired.
• Experience as a project lead preferred.

Responsibilities

• Convert product definition into concept and design for hot runner, heater, and controller products.
• Conduct and review engineering analyses (stress, thermal, fluid flow, reliability, FMEA, testing).
• Develop test models/equipment for verification and validation of design concepts.
• Create, implement and manage development project plans & budgets from concept to final product implementation.
• Communicate project status through schedules, design reviews and risk assessments.
• Work independently or with a team to advance new technologies in injection molding plastics.
