The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration across functions, and delivering manufacturable designs. Responsibilities include leading medium-scale mechanical designs, creating BOMs and drawings, and improving manufacturability while reducing cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2-5 years experience preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal enclosures, structural assemblies, and thermal management solutions.
• Background in small- to-medium-scale system design such as electrical enclosures, panel layout, seismic considerations, and heat management.
• Proficiency with ERP and CAD platforms including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with ASME, NEMA, UL, IEC standards.
• Strong documentation skills: BOMs, drawings, tolerances, GD&T.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive mechanical design initiatives for Systems Solutions and growth opportunities.
• Lead and coordinate medium-scale mechanical designs within a growing segment.
• Develop innovative mechanical designs and provide expert technical guidance on active projects.
• Serve as advisor to cross-functional teams ensuring on-time delivery and value.
