Job summary

Engtal is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of mechanical systems for new construction and renovation across commercial, healthcare, federal, institutional, and mission-critical projects. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver code-compliant, innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing construction drawings
• Mentoring junior staff and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects
• Perform HVAC loads, equipment sizing, friction loss, and hydraulic calculations
• Prepare mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
• Develop engineering standards, methods, and quality control procedures
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Direct the workflow of junior engineers and provide technical guidance
