Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Building Systems Designer to lead HVAC and building systems design across healthcare, education, commercial, and community projects. You will work with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver high-impact building solutions in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

The role requires 4+ years of mechanical design experience, familiarity with Revit/BIM, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

4+ years of mechanical building systems design experience.
Experience on healthcare, education, commercial or institutional projects.
PE, DES, or LEED credentials are a plus.
Strong communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead and support mechanical design projects from concept through construction.
Design HVAC, ventilation, and building mechanical systems using Revit/BIM.
Perform load calculations, equipment selection, system assessments, and analyses.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Mentor designers and drafters to drive project success.
Incorporate sustainability and code compliance into designs.
Provide technical guidance during field observations.
