Stanford Climate Ventures is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (Electric Propulsion) to work closely with a technical team in El Segundo, California. You will design and analyze critical electric propulsion hardware for spacecraft vehicles.

The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, particularly for aerospace applications. Benefits include medical, dental, PTO, and stock options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and analysis.
• Experience in design and test of pressurized components and systems.
• Demonstrated ability in principles of mechanical design, fluids, and materials science.

Responsibilities

• Define and own mechanical design of electric propulsion hardware.
• Take designs from concept through completion.
• Generate CAD models and drawings with proficient application of GD&T.
• Build and test designs in the lab.
• Create qualification and acceptance test plans.
