Job summary

SV Microwave, a division of Amphenol, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in the Design group to create manufacturable designs using SolidWorks and tolerance analysis. You will work closely with Applications Engineers and may travel to meet customer engineers for custom products.

You will lead design reviews, communicate with Sales, Quality, and Manufacturing, and help drive improvements through DFx practices while staying engaged with industry trends and testing protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Great technical assessment and analytical skills.
• Strong technical writing skills and verbal presentation experience.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD systems and database management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturable designs of products using SolidWorks modeling techniques and mechanical tolerance analysis.
• Work with SV Applications Engineers and travel to interact with customer engineers for custom products.
• Communicate with internal and external customers to define project objectives and updates.
• Lead design reviews on complex products with a multidisciplinary team before release.
• Interface with industry/trade shows and evaluate competitors to propose new advances in technology.
