Job summary

SV Microwave, a division of Amphenol, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for the Design group. You will develop manufacturable products using SolidWorks, perform tolerance analyses, and work with Applications Engineers to tailor solutions for customers.

You will lead design reviews, interact with internal teams and customers, and help drive new technology while traveling as needed. A strong engineering core and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience with SolidWorks or CAD and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturable designs using SolidWorks and tolerance analysis.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineers; travel to meet customer engineers.
• Communicate with Sales, Quality, Manufacturing to define project objectives.
• Lead design reviews with multidisciplinary teams before release.
• Interface with industry shows; evaluate competitors to drive advances.
• Specify testing protocols and oversee prototyping to validate designs.
• Troubleshoot design/component failures and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with on-site manufacturing to meet cost targets via DFM.
