The role involves drafting engineering solutions using CATIA, supporting part designs with cross-functional teams, and preparing documentation within project plans to balance technical and cost trade-offs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience; internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drafting engineering solutions using 3D CAD software (CATIA preferred), creating models, layouts, and drawings.
• Supporting complex part designs under supervision and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as testing, design, purchasing, styling, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Developing cost and weight estimates, communicating with suppliers, and managing schedules.
• Preparing engineering documentation, supporting project execution within established plans, including assisting with schedules, meetings, and reporting.
• Evaluating design options, vendor proposals, and feasibility of concepts, balancing technical, cost, and performance trade-offs.
