Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Oak Brook Terrace, IL is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer - CAD to own HVAC design from concept through construction. This onsite, permanent role offers a pay range of $85,000 - $125,000 and direct-hire stability.

You will perform HVAC load calculations, ductwork distribution, equipment selection, and shop drawing reviews, while collaborating with teams across projects ranging from 2,000 SF to 50,000 SF for commercial, retail, and manufacturing facilities. Requires B.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in HVAC and building systems.
• Familiar with ASPE, IMC, IECC codes and standards.
• Experience in all phases of project management.

Responsibilities

• HVAC load calculations and ductwork distribution.
• Review shop drawings and conduct site surveys.
• Code reviews and equipment selection.
• Collaborate on design from concept through construction.

Permanent/Direct Hire, Onsite

Pay range: $85,000 - $125,000

This position is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys owning projects from concept through construction and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The projects are small and move quickly. Ranging from 2,000 SF to 50,000 SF small tenant buildouts, commercial, retail, and manufacturing facilities, with schedules that can range from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on project scope and complexity.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5 years +
• B.S. Engineering
• Knowledge of engineering codes and standards e.g. ASPE, IMC, IECC
• Experience in all phases of project management
• Experience with AutoCad a must, Revit and Solidworks a plus
