Job summary

Specialized Marketing Experiences is seeking a skilled 3D industrial designer in Winston-Salem to craft detailed models and fabrication drawings for custom exhibits. You will collaborate with project managers and sales to align client needs with timelines, ensuring high quality builds and efficient production paths.

You will leverage SolidWorks, MS Office, and Adobe Suite daily, maintain strong communication across teams, and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience creating technical models and fabrication drawings.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, MS Office, and Adobe Suite.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed models and assemblies for client renders and production drawings.
• Develop fabrication drawings understandable by in-house and external fabricators.
• Collaborate with project managers and sales to understand client needs and timelines.
• Work with designers to find creative solutions for customer needs.
• Coordinate with project managers on purchasing needs.
• Follow projects from start to finish.
• Liaise with SME departments to ensure quality per specs.

Specialized MarketingExperiencesis a privately held, Winston-Salem based company offering custom fabricated exhibits for both private and corporate marketing needs. We design and build ground up projects ranging from small kiosks to 53ft double decker, hydraulic power folding trailers for marketing and entertainment. We take great pride in delivering the best quality product possible while maintaining a fast-paced and enjoyable work environment.

We are seeking a well-rounded individual who is creative, passionate about design, and a talented 3D industrial designer.The ideal candidate will have exceptional knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in fabrication. Candidate will be responsible for efficiently and effectively developing technical drawings and processes by designing parts/equipment for the fabrication, building and assembling of custom exhibits. He/she builds and maintains effective relationships internally with project teams and externally with client and vendor representatives.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design detailed models/assemblies that will be used for renders for clients and production drawings.
• Develop detailed fabrication drawing that can be easily understood for both in-house and outsource fabricators.
• Work alongside project managers and sales to understand client needs and timeline.
• Work with other designers and team members to find creative solutions for customer needs.
• Communicate with project managers on purchase needs.
• Following project through from start to completion.
• Liaison between all SME departments to ensure quality build per client’s specifications.
• Be able to budget your own time effectively on multiple projects to hit deadlines in a timely manner.
• Use various technical software tools including: Solidworks, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite.
• Be able to work in a fast passed environment.

Position Qualifications:

• Required
  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ Years of experience developing technical models and drawings for fabrication.
  • PC Skills: Solidworks, MS Office Applications, Adobe Suite.
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in design or engineering
• Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills to materially participate in managing multiple projects
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Strong data-gathering and analytical skills
  • Keen understanding of the product positioning, completive landscape, key benefits and the client needs
  • Ability to understand the level of effort required to achieve results

  • Flexibility as priorities and timelines can shift considerably and frequently

Schedule:

• 8 Hour shift (8:00am-5:00pm) On occasion extra time may be necessary to complete projects.
• Monday -Friday
