Role Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Spartanburg, SC. This position is responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems that support manufacturing and industrial projects. Day‑to‑day tasks include creating and revising CAD models and drawings, performing engineering calculations, and participating in product design reviews. The Mechanical Design Engineer collaborates with cross‑functional teams, works with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure feasibility and cost‑effectiveness, and supports prototyping, testing, and continuous improvement efforts. The role also involves documenting design decisions, maintaining design standards, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to manufacturing and industrial applications.

• Hands‑on experience with Machine Design and Product Design, including the development of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Proficiency in Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3‑D modeling and technical drawing creation and revision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and familiarity with relevant industry standards.
• Effective problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an on‑site team environment.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial systems, or process optimization is preferred.
