Job summary

Massman Companies in Sanger, CA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at our ADCO site to lead complex design projects, mentor junior designers, and drive ongoing design improvements.

You will independently generate and review CAD models, drawings, and assemblies, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and cost objectives while adhering to lean practices and engineering standards. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on CAD expertise, with SolidWorks preferred.

This is a Senior-level role responsible for leading complex design projects, mentoring junior designers, and driving design improvements. Independently produces and reviews advanced CAD models, drawings, and assemblies while ensuring designs meet functionality, manufacturability, and cost objectives.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 – 8+ years of relevant CAD/design experience with complex projects

Skills and Competencies

• Advanced Proficiency in CAD software, 3D Modeling, assemblies, detailed drawings (SolidWorks Preferred)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes preferred
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards and manufacturing methods
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve design challenges
• Ability to lead projects and mentor team members
• Ability to follow instructions

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to moderate noise and potentially hazardous equipment, with required use of protective gear.
