Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on mechanical product design experience.
• Strong GD&T, engineering drawings, and BOM management knowledge.
• Experience with ECO/ECN processes and PLM systems.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor required; Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D part and assembly models using Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop and update 2D manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly drawings.
• Support product modifications, engineering changes (ECO/ECN), and design improvements.
• Contribute to new product development, including concept development, prototyping, and design releases.
• Maintain bills of materials (BOMs), engineering documentation, and CAD data.
• Drive value engineering, design standardization, design for manufacturability, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve design and production issues.
• Support CAD conversion, sustaining engineering, and product lifecycle management activities.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Lead Engineer to support mechanical design, sustaining engineering, new product development (NPD), engineering change management, and value engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical product design experience, proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D part and assembly models using Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop and update 2D manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly drawings.

• Experience with BOM management, ECO/ECN processes, and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), and product lifecycle management (PLM).

Preferred Qualification

• Experience with Autodesk Revit is an added advantage.
