Job summary

SkyBridge Aviation in Lexington, KY seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop component and system designs based on customer requirements and interface control documents. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet applicable military specs, SAE, ANSI, ASME, and other standards.

Role includes supporting fabrication, installation, and integration of your designs, with preference for Catia V5 experience and 3D modeling expertise within an engineering team.

Qualifications

• 3D modeling and engineering design experience required.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Experience with Catia V5 preferred.
• Designs to military specifications and related standards (SAE/ANSI/ASME)

Job Description:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work as part of an engineering team based in Lexington, KY. The team focuses primarily on modifying existing hardware and integrating modified components into various platforms based on customer specifications. Your job will be to develop component and system designs based on customer requirements and interface control documents. Your designs will comply with applicable military specifications, SAE, ANSI, ASME, and other related design and drafting standards.

You will take these design elements and work with electrical and mechanical teams to develop solutions. Upon design completion, you will be expected to support the in-house fabrication, installation, and integration of your design by providing support to the manufacturing and installation workforce as required.

Experience with Catia V5 req. Experience with Mechanical design of structures, brackets, and mounts a plus.
