Job summary

AllStar Staffing Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Langhorne, PA, for a full-time direct-hire opportunity. You will design and optimize mechanical components for powertrain systems, develop fabrication drawings, and interface with vendors.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years' experience, and proficiency in 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor) with Inventor Vault; exposure to robotics and industrial automation; strong problem-solving and drawing interpretation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Experience designing multi-axis continuous duty industrial equipment; exposure to robotics and industrial automation.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and Inventor Vault.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics; pneumatic knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize mechanical components for powertrain systems.
• Create and detail fabrications and machined components (frames, brackets, shafts, flanges, housings, etc.).
• Analyze systems, including FEA for structural, fatigue, and thermal concerns.
• Specify electro-mechanical/electro-hydraulic components and interface with vendors.
• Develop manufacturing drawings and interpret customer design data and proposals.

Job description

We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer at a leading company conveniently located in Langhorne, PA. This is a full time direct hire opportunity.

Job Duties Include:

• Design and optimization of mechanical components for mechanical powertrain systems
• Design and detail Fabricated Weldments and machined components which include frames, brackets, shafts, couplings, flanges, housing, clutches etc.
• Analysis of mechanical systems, including Finite Element analysis for structural, fatigue, thermal, vibration, and acoustics
• Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems
• Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards Interfaces with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
• Confer with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
