Job summary

Search Masters, Inc. is seeking a senior electro/mechanical design engineer to lead aviation component projects using SolidWorks.

You will design exterior lights, landing modules, cockpit switches, and indicator lights for aerospace applications, and manage Bills of Materials throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborating with OEM samples and the New Product Development team, you will reverse engineer drawings, refine design concepts, and apply GD&T to clearly convey intent in all engineering

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• 5+ years in engineering design, aerospace preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electro/mechanical design efforts for a diverse range of aviation components using SolidWorks
• Design exterior lights, landing modules, cockpit switches, and indicator light switches for aerospace applications
• Drive new product development initiatives and contribute to innovative design solutions
• Manage and maintain comprehensive bills of materials throughout the product lifecycle
• Collaborate with OEM samples and the New Product Development team to reverse engineer customer drawings
• Partner with project engineers and cross-functional team members to develop and refine design concepts
• Apply GD&T techniques to accurately convey design intent across all engineering documentation
• BS in Engineering (required)
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in engineering design, with a strong preference for aerospace product design
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks
